Dr. S. R. Osmani is Professor of Development Economics at Ulster University in the United Kingdom and a Visiting Professor at Brac University, Dhaka. He obtained his PhD in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and worked as a researcher at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and the World Institute for Development Economics Research (WIDER) in Helsinki, before joining Ulster University. He has published widely on issues related to poverty, inequality, famine, microcredit, human rights, and development issues in general. His publications include Economic Inequality and Group Welfare, Poverty and Vulnerability in Rural Bangladesh, Theory and Practice of Microcredit (co-authored), and the jointly edited volume The Cambridge Handbook of the Capability Approach.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Kabir Hassan is a Professor of Finance in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of New Orleans. He currently holds four endowed Professorships and the Moffet Chair of World Resources Prices and Economic Development at the University of New Orleans. Professor Hassan won the 2016 Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Prize in Islamic Banking and Finance. Professor Hassan is in the top 2% of cited authors, according to a 2024 Standford University Survey. According to the 20024 ScholarGPS, Dr. Hassan's research publication puts him #1 in Islam, #110 in Economics, and #343 in social sciences worldwide. Professor Hassan is the 2019 University of Louisiana System Outstanding Educator recipient, the 2019 Life-long Research Achievement Award, and the 2018 UNO Nick Mueller International Leadership Medallion Winner. Professor Hassan is Editor-in-Chief of several scholarly journals published by reputable publishers. Dr. Hassan has won numerous awards from professional academic societies for research and innovative teaching. Hassan was a Senior Fulbright Scholar for 2022-2024. He has served on the AAOIFI AGEB Board since 2020 and is Chairman of the AAOFIF Education Board. Professor Hassan has recently been named Hamid D. Habib Chair of Finance at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. Professor Hassan has recently been named an Honorary Professor at the University of Jordan, Jordan.

Prof Javed Siddiqui is a Professor of Accounting at the Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester and currently the Director of Social Responsibility for the school. He is also a member of the Research Advisory Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and sits in the Due Process Oversight Committee of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Javed's primary fields of research are auditing, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting, especially in the context of developing economies. Professor Siddiqui's research has been funded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Markets set up by the Government of Bangladesh. Professor Siddiqui worked with international development agencies, such as the World Bank and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Big Four accountancy firms, as well as national level professional accountancy bodies. Javed's work has consistently appeared in reputed accounting and management journals, and been cited by important professional and policy making bodies, such as the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), ICAEW and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK.
Professor Siddiqui was invited by the UK House of Commons select committee on Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to provide evidence on auditing and corporate governance issues. In 2022, Thomson Reuters named Professor Javed Siddiqui in their prestigious list of highly cited researchers who have demonstrated 'significant influence' through the publication of multiple highly cited papers. Javed is currently an Associate Editor of the Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, and sits in the editorial board of a number of other internationally reputed journals. Javed has held a number of senior academic leadership roles, including the school Director for post-graduate taught (PGT) programmes, Programme Director for MSc Accounting and Finance and MSc Accounting programmes. Professor Siddiqui is currently an external examiner for Accounting undergraduate awards offered by Arab Open University and University of Mauritius, having previously held similar roles at the University of Southampton, University of Essex and University of Hull. Prof Siddiqui was an external member of the Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance Committee of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). He also sits in the academic advisory panel for the UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Professor Siddiqui has held previous academic positions at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is a recipient of the Chancellor's Gold Medal and the Kali Narayan Scholarship from the university for his academic performance at the undergraduate level, as well as the Commonwealth Scholarship funded by the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
